Here is the bulletin board for September. I often try to use a quote or poem, and this autumn quote appealed to me. The leaves are just starting to change here in Virginia and they look so beautiful. Except for the white oak leaf (the thin pointy one), the leaves here are from Tricia Moore. The swirls are from the shapes library in Sure Cuts A Lot, and the paper is the Cornucopia pad from Me & My Big Ideas.
This is a small bulletin board — about 20 x 33 — so I made a plain template that size that I keep at home. When I’m ready to “design” it, I place my elements on the template to gauge size and scale and generally to see how it’s going to look. I also try to glue some elements together to save time at work. For this bulletin board, I loosely followed a sketch from Page Maps.
