Cut it Up – It’s All About Me!

I’d like to think that it’s always about me, but . . . that’s another issue, I guess! Anyway, the theme for this Cut it Up challenge is It’s All About Me. And I really don’t mean just me, but, you know, anybody. This challenge came at a great time for me because I just celebrated my birthday. I always buy myself a present for birthdays and Christmas, and sometimes for no occasion at all. This year I bit the bullet and bought myself the entire Harry Potter audiobook collection. I’m worth it!! 😄 They’re in that blue box on the top. The brown box contains all the HP books that my husband got me for Christmas a couple of years ago. You’ll also notice some other presents I bought myself recently, a few Barbies to add to my collection. (You can never have enough Barbies or Harry Potter.)

The tag is my real project. I took a picture of my baby picture and printed/cut it out using my Silhouette to get a perfect square. The black mat it’s on was also cut on the Silhouette. I used dies from our sponsor, STAMPlorations, for the tag itself and the Happy Birthday sentiment. The tag is from Stitched Tags Nesting Dies, and the sentiment is from the Skinny Sentiments die set.

Here’s a closeup of the tag:

and a closeup of my new girls:

The prize for this challenge is a $20 gift code from Stamplorations. Hope you join us! I’d love to know more about you!

How sweet is that little tag for your newest present!! Such a sweet baby picture and the sentiment font is very fun! I’m sitting here thinking of all the times my sister and I played Barbies! We had lots of them swimming in Tupperware pools and driving around in cars made from slippers! hahaha Whenever our parents were missing things, they knew where to look! 😉 Thanks for the memories!

AW! Your tag is a delight, a great idea too. I may case that! 🙂 Love your Barbies, I never had one, but she does have the same birthday as me, does that count? (Not the year though, I’m much older than her.)

This so adorable, all this time I didn’t realize that this was your project; love the presentation!

  4. Great project! And how fun that you buy yourself presents! My daughter would be envious of your Harry Potter gifts; she just got into reading them this summer.

  6. I love your tag and what a wonderful idea of buying presents for yourself.

  7. Adorable tag Evelyn! So cute with the baby picture. So nice that you treated yourself to the Harry Potter books. We deserve it, especially when it’s our birthdays. Mine is this weekend and I’m buying myself some things too. I love your Barbies too. I had many when I was growing up and they have a fond place in my heart!
