I don’t often go for cutesy titles on my scrapbook pages, but awhile ago I saw a page somewhere with the title Programmed for Play. I LOVE the Robotz cartridge, and really wanted to use it again and this title was perfect. If not for the title, I couldn’t have used a little robot to embellish this page because there are no robots in the pictures! I copied a page by Julie Bonner for the design. For the “stitching” around the edges, I put my 12 x 12 card stock into the Cricut and chose a square from Sure Cuts A Lot shape library. I edited the line to a dashed line with 30 pixel dash and 30 pixel gap:
I replaced the blade with a Prima Cricut pen and “cut.”
The robot is #44 from page 71. The font is Hiccups.
If you want to see some of the other Robotz close up, click on the Robotz tag in the right-hand column. They’re really fun to make! I used them to make a Welcome Back bulletin board for my students last August. After I took the bulletin board down, I laminated all the robotz and adhered magnetic strips to their backs. My students each got to choose one to decorate the front of their locker!
These pages are so cute! I really like the three bands of background paper, and of course I love the robots!
