This was a fun challenge! Cut it Up’s challenge is to create a project that features farm friends. Gosh, that could be animals, farmers, scarecrows . . . I couldn’t decide what I wanted to do. I finally chose the rooster from our sponsor, Scrappy Dew’s Farm Pals 2 collection.
The rooster was so much fun to put together. I cut him out (5 of them!) at about 2″ so the eyes were pretty small. I glued the black part onto the white part while they were still on my mat so I wouldn’t lose the pieces. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Jaded Blossom So Many Birthdays, using my MISTI, of course, to get good coverage.
I also used a physical die, a quilt from My Favorite Things. That was fun to piece together. I used two papers from the Pebbles Woodland Forest 6 x 6 paper pad, then just swapped out the pieces. I love the fall colors in this pad.
Come on over to Cut it Up and check out the other design team members’ projects. So cute! I hope you join us with your own Farm Friends project. The prize from Scrappy Dew is very generous, a Vault Membership program Free ($20 value) plus 150 coins to use in the vault to get more patterns!
