Cut it Up Summer Blog Hop!

You’re in the right place!  Welcome to the Cut it Up Summer Blog Hop!  You should have started your hop from the Cut it Up blog and arrived here right from Elizabeth’s .  The whole lineup is at the bottom of my post.

I’m so excited for this.  It’s going to be so much fun because there are designers from two teams participating – the Cut it Up team and some guests from Die Cuttin’ Divas!  Our sponsor for this blog hop is NS Designs.   Nathalie has donated a $20 gift certificate!

The winner will be chosen from the comments on Cut it Up Challenge Blog by random.org and will be announced on the Cut it Up blog on August 6th.  To be eligible to win, you must follow and comment on each of our blogs, including Cut it Up.  (You’re starting and ending at Cut it Up.  Be sure to leave a comment there to get in the running for the prize.)

Here’s my project.  I send monthly newsletters to five pen pals and always include a seasonal card.  I made six of these cards, so I’ll have one extra for my stash – you never know when you’ll need a note card!

I used a file from our blog hop sponsor, NS Designs called Turtles n Lemonade.  I brought in the lemonade graphic, traced it, and gave it an offset.  Then I filled my virtual mat with them.  It held six of them, but there was some white space in between so I filled that with the lemon slice graphic!  No need to waste good white space, right??  😉  I used those extra lemon slices to add dimension to the image on the front of my card, just by inking the edges orange and layering them on the lemon slice in the glass.  The rest of them I put on the inside of the cards.I used this sketch from Sweet Sunday and papers from the DCWV Lemon Flower Stack.I’m offering a little blog candy for this hop, a surprise prize 😊  To get in the running for my blog candy, be or become a follower and leave me a comment on this post by August 6th.   I’ll have Random.org choose the winner early that morning and post it then, too.

Next stop is Gerda, and here’s the whole lineup in case you need it.  Remember to comment on and follow each designer and CIU.  Don’t forget to end up at Cut it Up and leave your comment there, or you won’t be in the running for the prize!  Thanks so much for hopping with us.  Hope you had as much fun as we did!

About Evelyn

I created this little blog so that I could have a place to show different crafts that I make for my family, my friends, my students, and myself! I have always enjoyed crafting. I particularly love paper, and that's what I'm currently working with.
