We’re all about critters this week at Cut it Up!
The critter I chose for this challenge is a mouse. It was an svg file from our sponsor, Kitten Scraps, however I don’t see it on their web site anymore. This is the second time I used this Christmas Mouse with Candy Cane file. Last time I cut it out, substituting a ball of yarn and knitting needles for the candy cane (you can see it here) but I did print and cut this time around, and included a black shadow. I actually cut out six of these little cuties, but only used three. The others will be for Christmas cards.
Awhile ago, I followed Ginger from My Sister’s Scrapper’s tutorial for her My Mind’s Eye Cozy Christmas Countdown Mini-album. (You can download the pdf of the tutorial here.) I used Pink and Main’s Jolly paper pad to make six pages. Then the pages just sat there on my desk forever because I didn’t feel like making a hidden hinge binding; six pages were too many for the size of the book. But I did want to finish it.
What I did was make three thinner books with two pages each. Here they are:I stamped on the inside of the cover using stamps from the Tags, Glorious Tags collection by Unity Stamp Company. We hope you participate in this challenge! I can’t wait to see all the different critters people think of. Check out the projects that the other design team members created at Cut it Up, then link up your own! As I said, our sponsor is Kitten Scraps. The prize is $20 of NS Designs or KittenScraps products — totally adorable clip art!! 😊
