Concentration Game

I’ve been playing around with some images from Kitten Scraps recently, more specifically NS Designs.  There are some real cuties there!  One of the things that I love about Nathalie’s designs is that they are available in both digital stamps and pre-colored clip art.  Given a choice, I always go with pre-colored.  🙂  When I saw this one called Chinese New Year, I knew exactly what I wanted to make with it, and it has nothing to do with Chinese New Year!

Can you guess?  How about now? Now??  🙂 I made a concentration game to play with my granddaughter!!  There are six images.  Using my Silhouette Design studio, I print and cut out two of each of the adorable animals.  I used the eraser feature to remove the “Happy Chinese New Year” sentiment from the red lantern and print/cut 12 of them.  I glued them back-to-back to the animal cards and then laminated them.  I used the same images to decorate a box that I made in Design Studio.  She’s just 3 1/2 years old, though, so I’ll start by just showing her three cards and asking her to find two that match.  The game can get more complicated as she gets older, of course.

I was also thinking that these images will make really cute baby cards, don’t you agree?
