Summer is almost here! Next week, in fact. And we at Cut it Up are welcoming summer with this current challenge.
Our sponsor this week is Newton’s Nook. I used two of their products for my project, their Floaty Goat stamp set and coordinating die set. My original plan when I ordered these was to use them on a scrapbook page of my son when he was about ten years old floating in our backyard pool on a construction of two tubes squished together. Too cute!! The problem was that the photos were taken with a panoramic camera. They measure 3 1/2″ x 10″ and I couldn’t bring myself to cut them. The stamp and die sets measure only 2″, so they would be too small for that scrapbook page.
But luckily they are a great size for a card! I have been wanting to make this kind of tri-fold card for some time. The diagonal cuts reminded me of a water park ride, so I chose this paper from my stash to work with. It’s retired Close to My Heart.
We hope you join us in welcoming summer over at Cut it Up. Hop on over and check out what the other design team members created then link up your own project. We can’t wait to see what you create, and you would be in the running to win a $20 store credit from Newton’s Nook!
