DCD – February 2018 sketch

Here is the February sketch from Die Cuttin’ Divas!  I thought it screamed for a “peeker” so I made a cut file of the sketch in the Silhouette Design Studio.  Then I searched my computer for a cute peeker and found this Cute Hippo Peeker from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons.  It’s not on their site anymore. That cute paper is from Scrap Berry’s Forest Friends paper collection.  Those surprised raccoons were perfect for what I had in mind.  They’re printed right on the paper.

You can see how I constructed the front.  There’s a regular printer paper layer on there that I just printed (but didn’t cut) from the design program.I just used the jpeg that came with the file and positioned it on a white rectangle with a white circle covering the part of his face that would have shown through that big middle circle.  Then I cut and assembled the hippo himself and put him in that window.I put a little strip of the rain paper inside so I didn’t have to save it!  🙂

What do you see when you look at the sketch?  Hope it inspires you!  I hope to see yours over at Die Cuttin’ Divas!

About Evelyn

I created this little blog so that I could have a place to show different crafts that I make for my family, my friends, my students, and myself! I have always enjoyed crafting. I particularly love paper, and that's what I'm currently working with.
