Cut it Up Layers of Love

Layer on the love, papers, and embellishments this week at Cut it Up for our Layers of Love challenge!  Katrina challenged us to show the love using at least three layers on our projects.

What’s more romantic than a wedding?  An elopement!  🙂

We just found out at Christmastime that my niece secretly eloped this summer.  She and her husband wanted to keep it an intimate, personal secret for awhile before telling the world.  They had a private ceremony on a mountaintop that has special meaning for them in Colorado.  I can only imagine how beautiful it was.  When I do imagine it, it looks like this:My niece and her new husband love astronomy, so much that they named their dog Luna!  I made intertwining rings in gold and put them in the sky to represent the moon.  The mountain is from the Cricut cartridge, Dude.  There are four layers on my card – the black mat, the blue sky paper, the grass, and the mountain image (which is two layers itself.)

Hope you join us this time around at Cut it Up.  Our sponsored is CAS-ual Fridays, and the he prize is a $15 store credit!   Remember you have to use a die cut and have at least three layers on your project.

About Evelyn

I created this little blog so that I could have a place to show different crafts that I make for my family, my friends, my students, and myself! I have always enjoyed crafting. I particularly love paper, and that's what I'm currently working with.

  3. Evelyn, your scenic mountain card is serene and gorgeous. I haven’t used that cartridge before but I’ll have to check it out for some of my camping cards. The gold rings are a perfect touch. Your niece and her husband will love it!
