PDE Linky Party – Valentines – cards or treats!

Time for another challenge by PDE Linky Party!  Valentine cards or treats.  I went with cards.  I saw these little print and cuts by Lori Whitlock and just had to play with them.  These reminded me of the ones I sent in grade school with those corny puns, which I LOVE so much!!  There is a separate file to make pop up cards with the same images and I kind of made those.  I used features in Silhouette studio to remove the pop up mechanism and just made them like match books.

I had a leftover card base on my desk laying right next to a cute little “love bug” from the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge, which was free in Cricut Design Studio the week of January 26th.  I thought, hmmmm. . .  I wonder . . .

So I figured out a way to put them together and make a 9th valentine.

I adhered the bug to the front and cut away the excess base layer.  But, it turned out sloppy and some parts stuck out.

So I cut another beetle base and put that on there, snipped off the top.

You see that little clip art heart?  I put that on the inside of all the little cards.  The scallop circle element is a Stampin’ Up punch.

Here’s the bonus card.  It turned out cute!

There are some really cute projects over at the PDE Linky Party.  Hope you join in!!  🙂
