Cut it Up – Calendars

2017 is almost finished and 2018 is almost here!  That means a new calendar, and that’s our challenge this time around at Cut it Up – Calendars.  Make a calendar or use one on your project.  I made a calendar – rather my husband and I made one together – an advent calendar for our granddaughter!

I picked up the wooden calendar at Michaels.  My husband did the painting and staining, and I did the decorating.  The calendar already had the numbers on it, so I made small (TINY) decorations for the backs of the drawers.  She pulls out the drawer, takes out the present, and puts the drawer in backwards.  That way she can see the picture on the back, and knows which drawer to open the next day.  That was my husband’s idea!

I was so proud of my Cameo!  Look how tiny some of these pieces are.  It cut everything like a champ.  I did entice it beforehand, though, with a new blade and mat!  Maybe that had something to do with it!  🙂

There are a ton of pictures . . .

This was so much fun to put together!  It really looks great in person. I love how my husband made the roof paint look like snow!

Hop on over to Cut it Up to check out all the other awesome calendar projects, then link your own!  Our sponsor is Heartfelt Creations. The prize is $20 gift code! What a way to start your new year, with a present to yourself!

Happy New Year!
