Closing in! Hope you have the holidays all boxed up. We do over at Cut it Up Challenge Blog! And that’s our theme this time around – boxes! You can make a holiday box or a box for any occasion! I’ve made a gorgeous holiday box (if I say so myself!) using some files from our sponsor this week, Ink on 3.
I combined elements from Holly Days One Piece Boxes and Cardinal Card SVG kit to make my box and I think it has a very elegant look in traditional Christmas hues.I cut the box at 14.25″ wide using 12 x 24 Cricut paper, so it’s pretty big. It measures 3 1/2″ all around. I popped up the side holly panels on foam tape as well as the front panel.I thought the cardinal element was so pretty; I love the look of a silhouette, and holly leaves just have their own magic. This is my second bow. My original was bigger and yellow. It just didn’t give me the look I wanted so I made another, smaller one using the green paper. I really worked with the paper, wrapping it around a pencil and my finger until it curled nicely without making a fold. Score tape holds it firmly in place. So that’s it! Hope you make a box and link it up at Cut it Up. You could win a $10 gift code from Ink on 3!
