Eclipse cards

I was lucky enough to see the total eclipse of the sun last month.  My husband and I drove to Tennessee to see it.  It was wondrous!  (I made a post about it on my Facebook page here.)  (I think this link will work – not sure, though.)

Kadoodle Bug Designs offered this cutie, Total Eclipse Bear, for free!  I knew I had to make him for our scrapbook page of the event (which I haven’t made yet) but also for the cards I make for my monthly letters.  I have four older relatives that I send cards and letters to every month.

For these cards, I used print and cut and followed Paper Play Sketches #5.  The shape on the left looked tricky so I called on my old pal, Silhouette Design Studio, to help me out.  I pasted a copy of the sketch into the program and sized it to A2 size.  Then I used the Polygon tool to make the shape right over the copy of the sketch.  Now I have that shape saved!  I thought these turned out awesome!

The paper is old CTMH design paper; I still have a few sheets left of a bulk pack of it.  The dark blue color reminds me of the color the sky turned during totality – not black, but dark!

So that’s that!  🙂

About Evelyn

I created this little blog so that I could have a place to show different crafts that I make for my family, my friends, my students, and myself! I have always enjoyed crafting. I particularly love paper, and that's what I'm currently working with.
