Strange title, isn’t it? Well sometimes I can be a strange bird. I chose the theme of this week’s Cut it Up challenge. You can either use a fox or fruit on your project!
Our sponsor this week is The Cutting Cafe, and I used some of their files for my project.
I made some cards! Here are the first two.The file I used for all three cards is a pdf file called Fruit Greetings. When you bring it into the Silhouette software, you can choose to import it as a vector, which is a cut file!! These two fruits only have a couple of layers, so super simple to put together. The watermelon seeds are holes cut in the red paper, showing the black paper behind. I chose red gingham checks to make it look like an outdoor picnic! The sentiments are from My Pink Stamper’s Fruit and Veggies Punnies stamp set. Here’s the last card made with this file. I brought the pdf into the software program both as an image and a vector. I centered the image on the bracket card front, cut that out and used that image to place the grapes. It needed a little something in that white space in the corners, so I put in some green rhinestones.
Then I couldn’t resist making The Cutting Cafe’s Hey, Foxy Shaped Card for my granddaughter to play with. She loves foxes and there is a wildlife preserve near where she lives so she gets to see a real live fox there.
Hope you can join us for our Fox and Grapes challenge at Cut it Up. Remember, it can be any fruit or any fox! 🙂 And you may win any 3 sets of your choice from The Cutting Cafe.
