Little Scrap Swap – Day 1

Back in April, I read an interesting post from Pia S, a crafter whose blog I follow.  She and two friends swapped some crafting materials and made projects with them, then posted about what they had received and what they made.  I thought it sounded like fun, so I set up a scrap swap with two of my friends from the Cut it Up design team, Katie and Sarah.

We each put together four identical summer-themed kits.  We kept one for ourselves, sent one to each other, and saved one to send to a blog winner after the last posting day.  Today we’re showing what we made with Katie’s kit, tomorrow we’ll feature my kit and Thursday Sarah’s kit.  On Friday we’ll show what we made with the leftovers from all the kits combined.

So here we go!  This is what I got from Katie.I decided to make an Easy Instagram Waterfall mini album out of it following Ginger’s tutorial.  I love making these little albums.

This is what I have left over (plus the piece of gold shimmery paper which somehow didn’t make it in the photo!!)

It was so much fun to get a surprise in the mail and work with someone else’s materials!! Go on over to Katie’s and Sarah’s blogs to see what they created.  Don’t forget to come back tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday!

About Evelyn

I created this little blog so that I could have a place to show different crafts that I make for my family, my friends, my students, and myself! I have always enjoyed crafting. I particularly love paper, and that's what I'm currently working with.
