DCD #330 – Back to School

That’s the theme this week at Die Cuttin’ Divas.  For me, the end of summer always coincided with the beginning of the school year.  In New Jersey, where I lived most of my life, school started after Labor Day.  Here in Virginia, school started in late August — until last year.  At that time, locally at least, school started the second week of August, with teachers returning the last week of July.  That’s really still mid-summer in my mind!

I originally made these cards for last week’s Bye Bye Summer challenge, but then Cricut made Campin’ Critters the free cartridge of the week, so I changed it up.  🙂

Last year was my last year teaching.  I am now retired!  As my teacher friends returned to work, I wanted to wish them a happy new year, so these cards are for them. The cute apple was from Cre8ive Cutz, but I don’t see it in their store anymore.  The apple paper was on clearance from Michaels years ago.

Hope to see what the end of summer means to you!  Link up your Back to School project over at Die Cuttin’ Divas!

About Evelyn

I created this little blog so that I could have a place to show different crafts that I make for my family, my friends, my students, and myself! I have always enjoyed crafting. I particularly love paper and wool, and that's what I'm currently working with.

I grew up in Chicago, so yup… it was just after Labor Day when we went back to School… out West.. they return Early, but then School ends earlier too… I’m not a fan of returning to School mid-July either… but that’s how it goes sometimes! LOL I hope you’re enjoying your Retirment.. 🙂 I think your cards are wonderful… they’re so cute and the teachers will appreciate the kind thoughts…. 🙂
