DCD #318 – Graduation

Congratulations to all the graduates out there!  I had two student teachers this spring and they’re both graduating and going on to grad school.  My students wanted cards to sign for them, so I made these two.  Just in time for Die Cuttin’ Divas’ Graduation challenge!  What a coincidence!  🙂

Clip art came to my rescue again!  I can’t tell you how much money I spent on clip art.  I was in a monthly clip art club that is now defunct, but everything I bought is stored safely on my computer and I do use it from time to time.  I love this graduation image.  I first made two bookmarks and laminated them. The card is from My Scrap Chick.  It’s part of a set of card bases called Cards and Labels Essentials.  I love the shape of it.  I brought it into the Silhouette software and filled the top layer with the same clip art that I used for the bookmark.  I just added a pocket to the inside of the fronts and stuck the bookmarks in there.

There were a couple of colors I could have gone with for the accent, but I chose the yellow because it’s so bright and fun and happy.  The kids had a blast writing in them.

Now it’s your turn. Link up your graduation project over at Die Cuttin’ Divas!

About Evelyn

I created this little blog so that I could have a place to show different crafts that I make for my family, my friends, my students, and myself! I have always enjoyed crafting. I particularly love paper, and that's what I'm currently working with.
