The theme this week at Die Cuttin’ Divas is Fall Harvest. Anything fall related will qualify! One of my favorite things about fall is how beautiful the leaves are. This year, they seemed to get a late start and many trees just looked drab, but there are a couple trees in my neighborhood that are stunning. These two trees wow me every year. They are a couple blocks away but I have to pass them every day. The beautiful leaves of autumn were the inspiration for my card.
I used the Stretch Your Imagination Cricut cartridge. Last year I tried to use my cartridges for all the Die Cuttin’ Divas challenges, but eventually I forgot. So I’m trying to get back to using them again.
I needed something to balance out the falling leaves in the lower right-hand corner, so I added a heat-embossed sentiment. The stamp is from Unity. It’s from an Itty Bitty set called Delight in the Little Things. The stamp set also includes a gorgeous old-fashioned baby carriage, which you can see here, but I only used the sentiment this time. A scrap of green paper behind the leaf really makes it pop!
