It’s back to school time in some parts of the U.S. For me here in this part of Virginia, classes started yesterday. Many of the surrounding school districts changed their calendars this year to have the first semester end before winter break. My school followed suit. That meant a VERY short summer this year. Faculty in my school had to report on July 25th. 😦
Our theme this week at Die Cuttin’ Divas is school. Our sponsor, The Cutting Cafe, gave us this file to work with, Stationery Caddy.
I only used one part of the file and modified it to suit my needs. This is my version of it:
I knew I wanted to use double sided paper so the inside would look as pretty as the outside. The paper may be old Stampin’ Up, but I can’t say for sure. I used a border punch for the front and cut out a small oval on the back. The ribbon, flowers, and Candies were in my stash. It’s all ready to be filled up with school supplies and sit pretty on my teacher desk!
Hope you join us for our school challenge this week at Die Cuttin’ Divas!

Dang, that is a short summer! School starts back for teachers today. It is my son’s first day of work. He’s a chemist. I’m sure he’ll start as a grunt man, but you have to start somewhere. Proud of him. There is a unique story behind this company…story for another day. I wish you the best for this coming year. They are already calling me to sub…teacher shortage. Your file boxes are adorable. I usually don’t do school themes anymore….hummm…lets see what I can do and still use it.
Cool project!! So pretty!!
Wow, that is a short summer! We don’t start til Sept 12. I love your darling holder. It will look so adorable on a desk filled with supplies or even some yummy treats! The papers are so pretty for this perfect creation!
Have a great day!
