Little Christmas Purses

Christmas? In the middle of May?  I know.  I was just looking over my pictures of crafts to see what I hadn’t posted before and came across these little purses.  They are so cute, adorable, and easy that I thought I’d share them today so you could make one up real quick and then get outside!  It looks like a beautiful day today here in Virginia.  I’m hoping to get out to the farmers’ market, then pick up some more suet balls for my bird feeder and maybe clean up a garden or two.  We’ll see . . .

Each of these little purses is made using one 6×6 piece of paper plus a scrap or two for the borders and handles, a couple of brads and a little piece of Velcro.  I found these cuties on Scrap and Stamp with Frenchie’s  blog, and her video is really easy to follow.  Here are the purses that I made:

You could keep them pretty plain as I did and just showcase the paper, or gussy them up. They will look adorable in any paper and can be used for favors, little gifts, candies.  Frenchie put lip balm in one of hers.  (Hers are Halloween-themed.)  I don’t think a gift card would fit inside, but you could fold up some money, or even include a baggie of coins. Be creative!

I think I’ve talked myself into making one or two right now . . .  Have a wonderful day!

About Evelyn

I created this little blog so that I could have a place to show different crafts that I make for my family, my friends, my students, and myself! I have always enjoyed crafting. I particularly love paper and wool, and that's what I'm currently working with.
