DCD #226 – The Great Outdoors

Did you know that August 10th is National S’mores Day?  How fun!  So our theme this week at Die Cuttin’ Divas is  The Great Outdoors (camping, beach, etc.)  I decided to finally finish a box card that I had started way back here.  I had made five box bases and completed three of them with a birdhouse theme for three of my pen pals.  One of my pen pals is a man and I thought the yellow birdhouse theme was too girly for him, so I put his aside.  (I used the blue one to make this shore-themed box card.)

Anyway, back to that green one.  I added the clouds and sun way back when using a file from Designs on Cloud 9.  I just finished it up using the icons from the Pooh and Friends Cricut cartridge!  The grass around the base of the box is a Martha Stewart edge punch.P1100966web P1100971webP1100972webP1110147web

You may not realize it, but that Pooh and Friends cartridge has a treasure trove of adorable files on it.  I did a cartridge showcase of it back in 2012.  You can find that here if you’re interested.

Here are the details for this week’s challenge:  begins: July 28th; Ends: August 2nd; Sponsor is One Happy Cut;  Prize is a $15 Gift Certificate!!

Check out the great projects that the other design team members made for this challenge, then link one yourself!  You could be a winner!
