Cut it Up – Paper Piecing

CIU challenge blogThere is a unique challenge this week at the Cut it Up Challenge Blog — Paper Piecing.  Sounds a little funny.  Isn’t paper piecing what Cut it Up is all about?  Well, almost . . .

The challenge is to stamp onto patterned paper, cut that out by hand and place it onto a second stamp of the same image.  I used a stamp from Unity Stamp Company, Happiness Will Find You.  I stamped the image on a scrap of pink patterned paper, then again on a die cut tag from the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge.

P1100265webI used charcoal fluid chalk around the edges of the pink paper.

P1100258webI wrapped a white toille bow around the neck of a Frappuccino bottle filled with Bliss dark chocolate candies, along with Tickled Pink Trendy Twine and a button.  That’s the perfect candy to go with this sentiment! P1100262webP1100259webOur sponsor this time is Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons.  The prize is a $15 Gift Certicate, so I hope you are inspired by our challenging challenge.

Please head on over to Cut it Up!  Today we’re welcoming the eleven new designers to our  team, and they’re going to WOW you!

About Evelyn

I created this little blog so that I could have a place to show different crafts that I make for my family, my friends, my students, and myself! I have always enjoyed crafting. I particularly love paper and wool, and that's what I'm currently working with.
