It’s a picture challenge at Die Cuttin’ Divas this week. How will this picture inspire you? There’s so much in it. What inspired me was the fabric covered jar of love (and the huge amount of leftover homemade cocoa mix on my kitchen table!)
Other things pulled from the inspiration photo are the red colors, the fact that it’s food, and the heart on the tag. This is a recycled Starbucks Frappuccino bottle filled with said cocoa mix (recipe here.) I used the Winter Frolic Cricut cartridge for the tag, some ribbon from Michaels, and some Peppermint Stick Trendy Twine. The sentiment is from Close to My Heart. It’s from a set called You Are My Happy.
I used chalk-ink on the edges of the felt, which I hand cut with pinking shears.
Here are the details for this challenge: Begins February 10th and ends February 16th. The sponsor is Mary at Cardz TV, and the prize is a stamp set.
Hope to see your project over at Die Cuttin’ Divas!

Love this so much. Makes me want to make some cocoa right now even though it is 70 degrees here in San Diego!
Love this! I immediately went to how you pulled this all together and the first thing I wanted to know was how or where you got the cover with perfect pink edges. It was the last thing you mentioned…I was worried for a minute that I would never know…haha I have several bottles like you used and haven’t done anything with them so thanks for a super idea. We still have plenty of cold weather left along with illness and colds and flu that this would be perfect to give someone. When you read my blog post tomorrow it will explain why I haven’t joined any challenges…just doing required projects for my DT. So I apologize for not doing well on comments lately.
That’s funny! There’s usually a really easy way to do things, you just have to be in the know!!

Cute tag! Happy Valentine’s Day to you!
