Cut it Up – Romance

CIU challenge blogLove is in the air! We hope you’ll join us at Cut it Up Challenge Blog for our Romance Challenge.  You need to use flowers, lace AND pearls on your project.  I thought it would be really hard for me to create something so fancy, but I found the perfect file over on the web site of one of our sponsors, Fleurette Bloom.  I chose the Tiger Lily Gift Bag, and that took care of the flowers.  When I went shopping for lace, I found this gorgeous roll of lace that already had pearls on it!  Done deal!  Here’s my project:

P1090789webI filled the bag with crafty gifts — stamps and twine — (and chocolates) for someone who just got a job as a principal and wanted to be able to make nice little presents for her teachers!

That flower is gorgeous!  (Here is the same file made up in pink by Migdalia, our former DT sister!)

P1090790webThe paper is from the DCWV Decor Noir paper pack, and all the ribbon and lace is from Michaels.

Fleurette Bloom is donating a $10 gift card, and As Cute as a Button is donating a $20 Coupon Code to their store or etsy shop.

We hope to see your beautiful project with pearls, lace and flowers for our Romance Challenge!

About Evelyn

I created this little blog so that I could have a place to show different crafts that I make for my family, my friends, my students, and myself! I have always enjoyed crafting. I particularly love paper, and that's what I'm currently working with.

  1. It’s gorgeous and the papers you chose for the flower are stunning! What luck that you find a combo of pearls and lace. Someone is going to be very very happy to receive this beautiful little bag!

Ev, THAT FLOWER IS GORGEOUS!!! I’m still playing with my Silhouette, getting to know “her”. Yes, I gave it a female gender, because “she” can be a bit temperamental!! 🙂
