Cut it Up Thank You challenge

Time for another challenge at Cut it Up Challenge Blog!  The theme this time around is Thank You cards.  After all, November is the time of year we think about everything we are thankful for.

Here is my thank you card:

For this challenge, we also had to include a stamped or digital stamp image, which was quite a challenge for me!  Definitely not my forte, so this card is my third attempt.   The stamping and cutting alone took an entire evening.   Those little pumpkins are last in a line of pumpkins on a very old wood stamp by Close to My Heart!  I stamped the image four times (once on patterned paper — luckily, because that’s the one that I used!) and colored them in various ways.  Cutting them out by hand reminded me of why I bought a Cricut in the first place!!  Well, in the end, I threw out all the ones that I colored and cut out two little pumpkins from the patterned paper for the front of my card.  I think they’re at least well placed.  They balance out the die cut pumpkin which is the show-stopper on this center-step card.

I downloaded this beautiful pumpkin svg file back in 2009.  It has no identification on it to say who/where I got it from, so I won’t be able to share that with you.  The sentiment was just typed on my computer.

I want to say Thank You to all of you who are reading this post.  I started this blog a little over two years ago as a cool way to share some paper crafts that I was making.  Now I have 78 people following my blog, and I’m a member of two really wonderful design teams!  I’m so very thankful for every follower, for every comment, and for the opportunity to serve on my design teams.  I just wanted to make sure you knew it!
