Today is the first day of spring! As part of my Sunshine Committee duties, I made 115 little 4 x 4 spring cards to give my co-workers. This was no time for Cricut; I used my old fallback, clip art!
This flower is from the Spring is in the Air collection from pcCrafters. (I think that website is defunct now, but while they were up, I spent hundreds of dollars there!!)
Inside the cards, I put either a springtime crossword puzzle or word search. It’s just something to make people smile and give them a little exercise for their brains!!
I didn’t make up these puzzles; I downloaded them from the internet, but don’t have the URL. You can google easy spring puzzles to print and see what you find! I have a big printer, Canon i9900, which accepts 12 inch paper. I set up my page to print four of these puzzles on it — three vertically across the page, and one horizontally on the bottom – printed them out on 12 x 12 paper, then cut with my paper-cutter. I printed the flower clip art with a 12-point border so I didn’t have to add an extra mat layer. I cut them out, then adhered to the front of the cards. Easy, peasy – just what’s needed when you need to make so many!!
