25 Days of Christmas Crafting Fun – Day 22

The theme for the twenty -second day of PCW’s 25 Days of Christmas Crafting Fun is . . . CHRISTMAS!

I’ve seen lots of December Daily posts on the web, but I’m not busy doing interesting things every day during December.  I probably can come up with 12 categories, though.  My family has certain quirky traditions, we have favorite songs, movies, cookies . . .  AND ever since I got the Joys of the Season cartridge, I’ve wanted to use the first twelve cuts, but couldn’t think of what to do with them.  This challenge provided the perfect opportunity to use those cuts.

Using an American Crafts 8 x 8 album (which I got for $9.99 on clearance at Michaels) I made a 12 Days of Christmas album.

For the cutout in the cover, I used a cute image from my Christmas paper stash – something from last year, but I didn’t save the packaging, so I’m not sure who made it. I used another sheet of the same paper for the title page, which I adhered to the inside cover of the album.  I used the ornament feature of page 22 of Joys of the Season for the 12, and Alphalicious, welded on my Gypsy, for the words.

The first page will hold the Table of Contents once I figure out what they will be!  Here is a sample of the inside pages:

I used the card feature on JOTS, hiding the nicks that you use for folding.  I also positioned the left side of the card off the margin on the Gypsy so I didn’t waste paper.  Then I used the shadow feature to cut a silhouette of the image for each day.  To make the gray writing  lines on the paper, I ran the 8 x 8 pages through my printer.  I plan to use photos and journaling on these lined pages relating to the topic listed on the Table of Contents page.
