Making the most of my vacation

At my school, we get the whole week off for Thanksgiving.  At the beginning of the week, I was writing out Christmas cards and working furiously on craft projects and a December bulletin board that I’ll show you later.  I was feeling guilty that I hadn’t gotten any scrapbooking done over the vacation, so I made up for lost time today.

Here is the first page I worked on.  All the pages are from 1997.  The tanks and plane are a dingbat font called Military RPG.  The stencil fonts used are from Denise’s Scrapbooking Room.

Hiking and Tales from High School are done old-school.  I used my Creative Memories cutting system and the “old fashioned” technique of cutting a shape around an image that you want to highlight, like the cute chipmunk below.  Another thing I did was instead of throwing out copies of that cute little salamander (I had four pictures of him for some reason) I integrated them into embellishments for my page.

The font used for “Hiking” is Harrington.

I used Storybook for the title on Birthday Boy page. The bear is from Paper Crafting World, their Breast Cancer Awareness Bear. I again used the Creative Memories cutting system for the star cut-out. The font for Misc. 1997 is Alphalicious. The paper is KI Memories designer paper Funky Paper pad II.

So, I had a lot of fun, got a lot finished, and made the most of my vacation!

About Evelyn

I created this little blog so that I could have a place to show different crafts that I make for my family, my friends, my students, and myself! I have always enjoyed crafting. I particularly love paper, and that's what I'm currently working with.
