Making cards

As I was surfing through all my blogs, I noticed that lots of crafters just use a stamped image on their cards.  I’m not that good with stamps (although I really enjoy coloring!) but I do have a TON of clip art.  I went through and chose several images that I thought would look cute on cards and got to work.  I generally work in Microsoft Word because I’m used to that and it’s easy.  Using the same general format, I came up with 5 different cards; and making multiples of each — the exact number depending on the number of images that would fit nicely on the 8.5 x 11″ card stock — I made 23 cards altogether.

To make the “Hello” tag on the squirrel card, I filled a page with that word (font is Santa’s Sleigh, one of my favorites) and cut them out.  I used my Creative Memories corner rounder in a different way than it was intended:

It gave the little tags a cute shape!

All the clip art is from pcCrafter.

Aside from the squirrel and Santa cards, all the others can be used as just note cards, or I can add a sentiment later.  This provides for greater flexibility.

About Evelyn

I created this little blog so that I could have a place to show different crafts that I make for my family, my friends, my students, and myself! I have always enjoyed crafting. I particularly love paper, and that's what I'm currently working with.
