3 X 3s

I love everything about 3 by 3 cards — their minuscule size, their friendliness, the ease with which they come together, how they transform your scraps into something useful. I especially love how they can brighten someone’s day.  I always keep a supply of these in my desk at school and use them to write a quick note to tell people how much I appreciate their work or to compliment them in some other way.  We all see goodness happening around us every day, and I like to let people know I notice those good things they do.  Afterward, when I visit their classrooms or offices, I often see my little cards displayed on their desks or bulletin boards.  That tells me the recipients appreciated my putting thoughts to paper and recognizing them.

Here are some from my most recent batch:

That cow card is a hoot!  It’s another recycled card.  I cut the image from a card that was bound for the garbage can!

The chocolates are Chocolate Truffles from the Valentine Truffles set, a free download from SVG Cuts.  The You’re Very Sweet sentiment is a My Pink Stamper stamp from the Fruit and Veggie Puns set.

I like to put my 3 by 3 cards into little hand-made envelopes using coordinating paper.  I got the easy-to-follow directions here.  The envelope really adds just a little something extra.  I usually seal the envelope with a sticker.

About Evelyn

I created this little blog so that I could have a place to show different crafts that I make for my family, my friends, my students, and myself! I have always enjoyed crafting. I particularly love paper, and that's what I'm currently working with.
